How We Got Here

Two Decades in DFW. One Standard of Work.

Bruce Laing started Pro Construction in 2001 because he saw a gap that wasn't being filled. Homeowners in the northwest DFW corridor (Keller, Fort Worth, Tarrant County) were having real difficulty finding a contractor who would actually show up, manage the project personally, and hand over a finished build that matched what was promised. Not a contractor who sent a crew and disappeared. A builder who stayed accountable from the first site visit to the final walkthrough.

Twenty-plus years later, that's still the operating principle. Dallas ADU Builder, the ADU and home improvement division of Boomer Group Inc., is built around multigenerational housing: detached ADUs, home additions, and garage builds for families who need more space on the property they already own. We work exclusively in Tarrant, Denton, and Wise County. Not because we can't work elsewhere, but because staying in one region makes us better at it.

The families who call us have usually been thinking about this project for months. They're not impulse buyers. We walk the property first.

Every project starts with a site visit, before a quote, before a contract, before any plan is drawn. We check setbacks, utility locations, lot coverage, and HOA documents. If something doesn't work on your property, you hear it here, not after you've paid a deposit.

We Handle Permits. All of Them.

Permitting is the most common reason ADU projects stall in North Texas. We've submitted permit applications in Keller, Fort Worth, Denton, Southlake, Flower Mound, and across Wise County. We know what each building department needs, and we build your city's permit timeline into the schedule from day one.

You Talk to the Same Person Throughout

Bruce manages the projects he sells. The person who walks your property is the person you call when you have a question mid-build. No handoffs to a project coordinator. No form letters when something changes. Direct communication from start to finish.

Framing, insulation, utility connections, foundation details, the things that are covered up before the final walkthrough. Those are the things that determine whether a structure lasts 10 years or 40. We build them the same way whether or not you'll ever look at them.
